Our TrUsted Charities

We’ve strategically partnered with some of the reputable and trusted charities in Central Ohio and beyond. The student athletes will gain invaluable experience when participating in events and activities with each charity. The charity will also benefit based on the exposure in which they receive.

Lifetown charity logo

LifeTown is a simulated village where thousands of children with special needs throughout Ohio, learn critical life skills that are needed on their journey towards independence. Students develop financial literacy, learn to make and keep appointments, and pinpoint the skills to successfully interview and compete for jobs while ultimately becoming self advocates for their very first time.

LifeTown has been a proven educational model which is an effective learning destination for all students with disabilities. LifeTown passionately believes in leveling the playing field for all students, ensuring that a zip code does not determine a child’s education.

Buckeye Cruise for Cancer charity logo

Over the last 14 years, the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer has raised $25 million for The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James). Proceeds have benefited The Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research, the Buckeye Cruise Fund a Need and the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research, making a positive impact on the lives of our patients and families. We’re pleased to have donations from The Foundation go towards the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer.

A Kid Again charity logo

A Kid Again provides moments of hope, happiness, and healing to children with life-threatening conditions and their families.

We do this through Adventures, cost-free, year-round events created for the entire family. Each month, our families experience a local attraction where they can spend quality, care-free time together. It’s their moment to forget about the life-threatening condition and feel like “a kid again.”

Columbus Zoo. Kings Island. COSI. Legoland. These are just a few of the many kid-desired destinations where we host fun-filled Adventures.

After School All-Stars provides free, comprehensive, out-of-school programs that help children in underserved communities. Children receive academic support, mentorship, health & fitness activities, and transformative opportunities that will keep them safe and help them succeed in school and in life. Our vision is for our All-Stars to be safe and healthy, to graduate high school, to find careers they love, and then give back to their communities.

The 105-year-old Columbus Urban League (CUL) is an advocate and resource for Black and urban communities that is dedicated to growing wealth, education, earning power and small businesses while also supporting strong families. Driven to advance racial equity and social justice, CUL has distinguished itself as an effective organization in numerous ways, including as one of only ten organizations to be selected for funding by One Million Black Women and by earning ranking as one of the top five percent of all 93 National Urban League affiliates.
